Confidently Support Regulation Without Guesswork

I really appreciated how detailed it was, including insights into brain development and how it differs across age groups. I especially liked receiving practical tools—questionnaires that will now make it even easier for me to better understand the child and their needs. Thank you, Katie, for the opportunity to learn from you and for sharing your knowledge in such a clear, detailed, and compassionate way. It was fantastic, and I’m eagerly looking forward to your future webinars! - Urška, OTP

Which of these scenerio's sounds familiar?

The child can't focus in the classroom, and it's creating distractions for everyone.

The child lives in a place of stress and goes from 0 to 100 in what feels like seconds.

They act like they don't even know you're in the room.

You feel like they are stimming so much that it makes engaging hard.

All of them? You are not alone.

I talk to many people daily who are struggling to:

  • Find the just-right way to approach regulation

  • Find the most effective tools to support their needs.

  • Figure out WHY the child is dysregulated

  • Understand why the child can identify the right tools, but can't ever implement them

  • Keep the child regulated once they get there

I have a secret...

(That I want to scream from the roof tops!)

Self-regulation isn’t just about managing behaviors.

It's not just about giving them a chewy or telling them to take a deep breath.

It's definitely not about teaching them an emotional regulation program and expecting them to immediately regulate.

Successfully addressing self-regulation goes much, much deeper than that.

Rethink. Reframe. Rebuild

It’s about understanding the brain, body, and environment to create lasting, meaningful change.

Regulation Reframe is a self-paced webinar designed to shift the way we approach self-regulation, moving from surface-level interventions to neuroscience-backed, developmentally appropriate strategies.

RETHINK

For too long, self-regulation has been framed through the lens of behavior management, rewarding "good" behaviors and ignoring "challenging" ones.

But behavior is just the tip of the iceberg. Beneath every reaction is a child’s nervous system responding to their environment, internal sensations, and their emotional state.

By shifting our perspective from "How do I stop this behavior?" to "What is this behavior telling me?" we move toward deeper understanding and meaningful support.

REFRAME

I bet you've recognized by now that not all regulation strategies work for every child. Traditional approaches often apply one-size-fits-all techniques, but true support requires meeting each child where they are.

We can tailor strategies based on sensory needs, emotional capacity, and cognitive abilities.

Whether it's sensory input, co-regulation, or environmental adjustments, reframing regulation means providing individualized tools that honor each child’s unique nervous system.

REBUILD

Regulation isn’t just about teaching skills, it’s about creating the conditions where self-regulation can develop naturally.

Children need to feel safe, connected, and understood before they can engage in self-regulation.

Through co-regulation, responsive relationships, and attuned environments, we help children rebuild a foundation of safety and trust. When a child feels seen and supported, their ability to regulate grows, not through control, but through connection.

This was a fantastic course that helped me change my view of self regulation and all the steps that need to occur before a zones of regulation or more cognitive program. Katie gives great tools and visuals that have been very helpful to use with parents. She has also been helpful in answering questions regarding the course and offering suggestions for kiddos I work with! Highly suggest the course. - Karie, OTP

Regulation Reframe is not your average webinar.

It's a masterclass on all things regulation.

It's a roadmap to help you feel more efficient moving from dysregulation to regulation.

It's a shift that will change the way you approach and support the dysregulated child.

I cant thank you enough for the Regulation Reframe course. I've been practicing for 9 years and I don't think a course or material has ever made so much sense to me. You can tell how much work and research was put into it. Thanks a million on behalf of all the kids that will now benefit from me being a better therapist.

Loved every piece, and thought there was good depth to each topic

Brooke, OTP

This webinar was so comprehensive and offered concrete examples and practical application. I would highly recommend to other therapists across settings.

OTP

I really loved diving deeper into the 'why' behind the different arousal levels. It was a great refresher for me. I also loved all the examples provided. Sometimes as practitioners we get stuck in ruts, so having some new tools to add to my toolkit is amazing!

Haley, OTP

Great visuals and ability to understand each topic. The videos and case studies were very helpful!!

OTP

Thank you so much for reinforcing what I already know and reframing some areas in a different way. Sometimes regulation issue seem to be such a large area to work on and having the framework around what to tackle and the order is very helpful.
